HARRISON AIRFIELD DEDICATED
AS HISTORICAL LANDMARK!
A Big Thanks to all who helped put Harrison on the map
as a Historical
Landmark. A great day of celebration that included guest
appearances by
People like Commissioner Sparky Weilnau, State Rep. Chris
Redfern and
Trustee Orville Sayler just to name a few. And although
the weather was less
than perfect, the over 300 people in attendance were
treated to an impressive
aerial display of antique and modern aircraft, including
the St. Vincent Life
Flight Medivac Team! The kids enjoyed pedal car rides
and an air delivery of
candy, while the adults captured the culinary delights
of “Smokin’ Joe’s” BBQ
catering. I would like to take time to thank the great
folks at the EAA Chapter
50, Grass Shearer’s Lawn and Landscape, BMP Industries
LLC, and Corso’s
Landscaping in Sandusky for all of their help and support.
It’s friends and neighbors like you that made this
all possible.
Summer’s Coming!
This year’s sure to be even better! Maintenance
is the top agenda for this
year. We’ve got some standing water that will be
tiled, some updates to
the pavilion area, and some general upkeep will be top
priority. We have
several local groups who like to visit us on a regular
basis and we will continue
to strive to make our facility look it’s best!
Please keep an eye on the calendar
for all the latest events.
Sincerely,
Chad A. Harrison
